Book Club has learnt that the oil plantations of Borneo are profitable and land is valued after the rain forest is cut down. It is a hope that all Rain Forrest lands with indigenous people will be protected by an international body or be handed over to their Majesties to which the land is bequeathed. If oxygen producing hardwoods are exhausted flooding, land erosion and death will occur. After the forest soil is exhausted from all of the nutrients it is of little use and sand borne desert often form as a result. Book club has often said that loggers and their logging companies have no authority cutting down the worlds rain forest's from indigenous people for profit making gains. With the growth of Eco tourism it is the greatest modern day tragedy of epic destruction.
